Michel

Born in Africa and now residing in Brisbane, Australia, Michel Kabamba has been dancing for over 20 years! Michel grew up free styling and watching his biggest inspiration, Michael Jackson. Eventually his freestyle began to take control and he focused most of his passion on break dance, popping, locking and illusion.

His love for performing and choreography started in high school and there, at the age of 16, he began to gain recognition and received awards for choreography in the school competition and rock eisteddfods. As an Australian freestyle hip hop champion in 1996, he was also awarded first place in the world for Traditional Dance and second place in the world for Hip Hop Freestyle in South Africa.

Michel choreographs all genres of dance but specializes in hip hop, African modern, illusion, break dance, popping and locking. His love of movement is expressed in his creative choreography.
